cannabinoid and product questions

Are these products legal to purchase?
At Green Light District, we ensure that every product we offer complies with federal law, specifically the 2018 Farm Bill. This legislation legalizes all derivatives, isomers, and cannabinoids in hemp, provided the final product contains less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC. Our products are hemp-derived and rigorously tested to ensure they meet this requirement. However, it’s important to note that regulations regarding hemp-derived cannabinoids can vary by state and are subject to change. We encourage you to conduct your own legal research to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in your area. Please note that the information provided on our website is for informational purposes only and should not be considered legal advice. See our Legal Disclaimer for more information.

Does Green Light District perform testing on its products?
At Green Light District, we uphold industry-leading testing standards to ensure the quality and purity of our products. All testing results are transparently available on our product testing page, allowing our customers to verify the quality of our offerings. We take pride in consistently delivering the highest purities among minor cannabinoids in the cannabis industry. What is Delta 8 THC?
Delta 8-THC or Delta 8-Tetrahydrocannabinol is a new, cutting edge cannabinoid (derived from Hemp) which carries psychoactive effects and euphoric feelings associated with the typical properties associated with cannabis use. Additionally, Delta 8-THC is known for its anti-nausea, anti-anxiety, appetite stimulating and stress reducing properties.

What is HHC?
HHC, or Hexahydrocannabinol, is an emerging cannabinoid derived from Hemp, representing a novel frontier in cannabis research. Similar to Delta 8-THC, HHC exhibits psychoactive effects, offering users a sense of euphoria and relaxation commonly associated with cannabis consumption. Beyond its recreational appeal, HHC is recognized for its therapeutic potential, boasting anti-nausea, anti-anxiety, appetite-stimulating, and stress-reducing properties. As a relatively new addition to the cannabinoid family, HHC is attracting attention for its promising benefits and potential applications in wellness and medical settings.

What is Delta 10?
Delta-10 Tetrahydrocannabinol, or Delta-10 THC, is a relatively newly discovered cannabinoid derived from Hemp, representing an exciting development in the realm of cannabis compounds. Offering users a unique experience, Delta-10 THC is noted for its potential psychoactive effects, delivering a milder high compared to its counterparts like Delta-9 THC. Alongside its recreational appeal, Delta-10 THC is also recognized for its potential therapeutic properties. Early research suggests that it may possess anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and mood-enhancing properties, making it an intriguing target for further investigation in the fields of wellness and medicine. As interest in this novel cannabinoid grows, Delta-10 THC holds promise for both recreational and medicinal users seeking alternative cannabis experiences.

What is CBD?
CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is a non-intoxicating compound found in hemp. Unlike THC, it doesn’t produce a high. CBD is known for its potential therapeutic benefits, including anxiety relief, pain management, and inflammation reduction. Widely available in various forms, it’s favored by many seeking natural wellness solutions.

What is THC-A?
THC-A, or tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, is the raw cannabinoid precursor of delta 9 THC. In raw cannabis material, THCA is present, rather than delta 9. It’s only when THCA is decarboxylated (heated to a threshold temperature) that it converts into delta 9 THC.

How should I store my products?
Proper storage of cannabis products is essential for maintaining their potency, flavor, and safety. To ensure optimal quality, store cannabis in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat sources, as light and heat can degrade cannabinoids and terpenes, leading to a loss of potency and flavor. Control humidity levels by storing cannabis in a humidity-controlled environment to prevent mold and mildew growth, aiming for around 59-63% humidity. Utilize airtight containers, such as glass or metal jars with tight-fitting lids, to minimize exposure to air, which can degrade the product over time. Avoid plastic bags, as they can create static electricity and leach chemicals into the cannabis, affecting its quality. Separate different types of cannabis products to prevent cross-contamination of flavors and aromas, and remember to label and date your products for freshness and potency tracking. Lastly, store cannabis products out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidental ingestion. Following these storage guidelines will help ensure that your cannabis products remain fresh, potent, and safe for consumption.

Why does my vape taste burnt?
– Improperly primed vaping devices can lead to burnt coils, resulting in an unpleasant taste. To check if your vape is adequately primed, take a brief 1-2 second “preheat” puff. If vapor is produced, the coil is properly primed. If not, it requires priming.

An effective method for priming your vape is to store it vertically, allowing the e-liquid to naturally saturate the coil. If your vape has been stored horizontally previously, priming it with vertical storage may take over 24 hours. To expedite the process, you can gently warm the vape with a hair dryer or place it in a watertight bag submerged in hot water for approximately 1 minute, ensuring the vape remains in a vertical position.

How do I prevent my vape from clogging?
To prevent your cartridge or disposable from clogging, it’s important to follow proper maintenance and usage techniques. Regularly clean your vape pen or cartridge to prevent residue buildup, focusing on the mouthpiece, airflow vents, and threading. Prime new cartridges or coils before use. Take breaks between puffs to prevent overheating, store your vape upright to avoid leakage, and ensure you’re using compatible accessories. Following these tips will help maintain your cartridge or disposable and ensure a seamless vaping experience.

Why are there terpenes and other minor cannabinoids in my product?
Terpenes are organic compounds present in various plants, including cannabis, responsible for their distinctive aromas and flavors. In cannabis, terpenes not only influence the scent and taste but also interact with cannabinoids to produce synergistic effects, potentially enhancing therapeutic benefits such as relaxation, stress relief, and focus.

What are minor cannabinoids?
Minor cannabinoids refer to the numerous other cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant aside from THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol). While THC and CBD are the most well-known and abundant cannabinoids, there are over 100 other minor cannabinoids present in cannabis, each with its own unique properties and potential therapeutic benefits. Some examples of minor cannabinoids include CBG (cannabigerol), CBC (cannabichromene), CBN (cannabinol), and THCV (tetrahydrocannabivarin). Research into these minor cannabinoids is ongoing, with growing interest in their potential medicinal properties and how they interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system.

What is MCT and why is it in my product?
MCT, or medium-chain triglycerides, is a type of fat derived from coconut oil or palm kernel oil. It’s commonly added to tinctures because it enhances the absorption of cannabinoids like CBD, ensuring faster effects and increased potency. Additionally, MCT oil is flavorless and odorless, making it an ideal carrier for cannabinoids in tinctures without altering their taste or aroma.

How do I take a tincture?
To take a tincture, shake the bottle well and measure your desired dosage using the dropper provided. Place the dose under your tongue for 30-60 seconds before swallowing. Effects usually start within 15-30 minutes. Adjust dosage gradually if needed. Store the tincture in a cool, dark place.
